Several states — including Washington (My Health My Data Act), Nevada, and Connecticut — require businesses to separately disclose how they handle "consumer health data": health-related personal information that isn't already covered by HIPAA. This policy covers that category specifically. It supplements, and does not replace, our general Privacy Policy and, for information tied to a clinical evaluation, our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
Consumer health data generally means personal information that identifies a consumer's past, present, or future physical or mental health status, and that isn't part of a HIPAA-covered clinical record. On Soluna Specialty Rx, this can include information like:
Once you begin a formal clinical evaluation, the health information you submit becomes protected health information governed by our HIPAA Notice, not this policy.
We collect and use consumer health data to operate the site, help you find relevant products and information, confirm service-area eligibility, and provide customer support. We do not use consumer health data to make decisions about your eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, or similar consequential decisions.
We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes. Where we use service providers (for example, cloud hosting or customer support tools) to help us operate the site, they process consumer health data only on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality obligations — not for their own independent use.
We retain consumer health data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law, and delete or de-identify it when it's no longer needed.
